Happy Monday!
First of all, I want to thank everyone for making last week so special. Mrs. Stulce and I feel very appreciated! Your gifts were delightful! I really enjoyed reading your heartfelt notes too! That really made me feel special! I truly have enjoyed my time with your kids and feel very lucky to have been their teacher, even if it was only for a short time.
We are quickly approaching the last few days of school. We still have lots of exciting learning left to accomplish in sceond grade. There are lots of things coming up on our calendar.
Today in science we did our dino dig. Watch for photos later this afternoon!
In Reading and Writing, we finished up our poetry units. We have been reading and writing poetry. Our poetry books will be published this week and coming home soon!
We just wrapped up a unit about measuring in math. We have learned to measure capacity, length, and weight using both standard and non-standard units. Our test was today, and we all did GREAT!.
This week we will finish out rocks exploration by working with our "pet rocks" some more. If your child has not brought in their pet rock yet, they will need it this week. I do have plenty of extras, just in case.
